Gambled and lost with an empty car carrier. I'm hoping to get some time back.

Are other states aware and will it show up while receiving a citation? Broken wire in frame means no right rear parking lights!

I've been put out of service twice. Once in Kinston, NC and once in Columbus GA. I Tore off the red sticker and left within 20min both times. I've crossed the tar heels scales and both GA scales. Never heard a word. You can always go around the scales if your a nervous wreck.

I'll rip out pages and make it look good unless my OOS time and date pops up duri a routine ticket writing.

I think it is a felony in Illinois to run off on a OOS. At least one officer told me that when I was OOS. I never tried him on it though.

To be more specific, I was put OOS for violating the 14 hour rule. I slept for 5 then drove and got caught before I got to finish my sleeper time. Book was ugly but it would've looked good after 5 more hours.

The fear is what happens when I hand the Georgia trooper my beautiful log? Does my Florida citation come up?

There's a number of ways this can be detected . Add falsification of logs to cover it up and you're really gonna get fried. This will quickly be detected at an audit if they can use any type of GPS to track the truck or driver.

The OOS order was likely on a DOT Inspection. It will be in the data base as soon as the officer enters the report electronically. Any DOT doing another inspection will see it. Also shows up on your CSA 2010 record and provides points to your carrier.

    Good Luck

    RickG Thanks this.

Florida Highway Patrol Office of Motor Carrier Enforcement. I did my 10.. but would like to rewrite a few pages.. looks like I really can't. So any DOT violation will be listed if I get stopped on my way north?
