    You two are funny
. I actually like the term "bees knees" It has an interesting origin. And as some might think, it doesn't have anything to do with little insects. It originated from a well known phrase the be-all and [the] end-all. .
After years of use, ‘the be-all and [the] end-all’ became shortened to: the Bs and Es (the be-all and end-all)
As this was said, over time (if you repeat this fast), it sounds like ‘the bee’s knees’.

Well dog gone it, I guess we are the Bs and Es!! #LOL, I assure you, we are just ordinary people who actually enjoy truck driving as a couple. Ron and I wanted to put our experiences down for other husband/wife teams. THAT is what really helped us when we first starting researching this job choice. As with any job, there are pros and cons. Unless it is something that is deliberately inhumane or a complete lack of respect from one person to another, we choose to focus on the positives.

    You guys side-tracked me!
I told Ron this post was going to be on the subject of "Flatulence".
And believe it or not, it was going to be a positive post!!

LOL!! Thank you rwdfinch50 for easing everyone into this post.

I really wanted to talk about this subject that many just do not wish to talk about. Some minimize its severity,
some pass the buck and some just pretend it didn't happen.
The subject matter of course is FLATULENCE.

In church, it was referred to as passing wind or toots, but there are many other terms (to be downright "trucker" blunt)
The ever popular, FART, Cutting the Cheese, Shooting Bunnies, Butt Burps, Stinkies, Someone Stepped on a Duck, Stink Bomb, Tootin', Pootin', Ripping a Nasty, Butt Trumpet, Bottom Cough, Timer (ding, ding, the rump roast is done), Japenese Barking Spider, Gasser, Blowing Wendies, Launching an Air Biscuit, and last but not least, SBD (Silent But Deadly)
    You can't help but laugh!

The bottom line is this is something that is bound to occur and when it does, don't let it get to you.
When you are enclosed together in small living quarters, this all natural body function is going to occur. So you can either get mad and fuss alot or you can just make light of it. For Ron and I, common courteousy dictates a simple "excuse me." That's it. We laugh about it all the time. And then there was training (THREE in the TRUCK!). Now, that is another blog all to itself.
Well, I put it out there for all the prospective husband/wife teams or even those who aren't married, who are just teaming.
Ron and I had some belly laughs trying to come up with all the many names other people have used over the years.
Just remember... keep things light and keep your sense of humor!
    Until next time...

    Remember the Streak?
Well, yesterday Ron went for a run preparing for an upcoming 15K Run. When he came back, he took off his shirt to cool off. The wife of another truck driver across the lot decided that Ron was a streaker and proceeded to report him to the local police. We had a knock on our truck window about the report. We all had a good laugh. The officer could see clearly he had his shorts on.
Now I've got that crazy song stuck in my head! "Don't look Ethel!!" LOL
    Until next time...

Hey double yellow! just got back from a wonderful home time.
Ron was excited to get back on the road and we started with a great load.
I do know that the transflo now app has been discussed (according to payroll), but as for it's impending implimentation, I do not know. I would love to see it eventually, but I can forsee issues with bad pics not carefully shot or maybe images that did not have enough resolution. That could pose problems for readability. As for the onboard scanning, they haven't gotten back with us. We're ready when they are. Hope your week has gone well.
Well, I'm ready to snooze. Been having trouble sleeping the last couple of days. So off I go.
    Until next time...

So did you get the info about the InCab Scanning?
We are definitely ready to go on that. I kind of figured the mobile app would not be a go just yet, but I am sure it will be just a matter of time and working out the bugs. The great thing about this setup is that Everybody gets paid faster! Plus, No waiting in lines. You can scan your paperwork in your PJs. :biggrin_25525:
On another subject matter.... We have been working on fine tuning our organization on the truck. I thought that might be a good subject to talk about for others who want to know the best way to get organized for smooth sailing while on the road. Will post on that tomorrow....
    Until then...

    CasinoGal Thanks this.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading every post in this thread. This is an awesome example of how teaming with a spouse can be. It pleases me to see upbeat posts even when times are tough. Keep forging ahead you two! :)

I did get the message. I'll probably wait for the mobile version - a scanner seems like it could be a space taker (codriver has a big tv & xbox, i have a fridge & microwave -- so space is tight enough.) As far as organizational tips, we pretty much have our own space (me top bunk & right side compartments, him bottom bunk & left compartments). the cubby above the driver is left open for snacks/drinks during that shift (as are the cupholders & dash). we also give each other a 15 minute warning for shift change by flicking on the dome light. that way we're productive when the truck is actually stopped and not sitting there wiping sleep from our eyes...
