You go to a school your chances of getting hired are no greater then u filling out an online application your self.Actually it's easier you finding a job rather then having a school do it for you.MCT'S main terminal is in Sioux Falls,SD.I would say driving for them is better then the big company because MCT is a med size outfit and would probably get more miles.I think they're reefer. If you choose to get your CDL thru a company, you will have to sign a yr contract.Which when u think about it is not all that bad because no matter who your first company is,you should stay there a yr anyway. Now if you choose a school many companies will pay for your schooling but you will not get all that in one lump sum.You have to stay at that company also for a yr and get so much of that schooling money every 3 months.Companies don't tell you that unless you ask.

One note about going to an independent school. True you are not tied to a company to pay back the schooling. But should the company you choose should not work out or starves you to death on miles, you can certainly quit. But you still have a school loan to pay for and no income. You could probably get away with 2 companies in a year job hopping starting out. But still not a good situation. I'm basically reiterating what the others have said. RESEARCH A LOT before you make a decision on who to apply/work for.
