Sitting at the ta in lake park, ga getting service brakes repaired. They found the
Blue service line melted together in the nose bulkhead. No air leaks either.
I wonder how many drivers pulled this trailer and never knew they didn't have any trailer brakes. Always check your parking brakes and service brakes.
If you have one of the new trks with no trailer brake valve then do this.
Set tractor parking brake and release trailer parking brake, then use something like a hammer or prybar to push down on brake foot valve and wedge it to hold
Brakes on. Walk to rear of trailer and see if brakes are applied.

He's coming down out of Dorchester WI with an OD load. It doesn't look like he'll make it much past Plover since WIDOT suspended OD permits till tomorow at noon.

Shut down at the shipper in Fond du Lac and knew I wasn't going to get home today even though I was due home yesterday. Anyway, snowing like crazy here so gonna wait till daybreak to start tomorrow. I'm off five days but this load delivers about 60 miles away from my house on Monday. So I'll get home with it tomorrow afternoon, deliver on Monday and then relaunch next Saturday morning. It'll be nice to be home almost a full week after being out 26 days.

5-6 inches of snow so far. Plow truck came thru part of shippers lot but now back where I was parked. So I moved up to where he plowed just to be on the safe side. I really don't want to shovel their parking lot to get out...LOL!

I am at the Flying J in Lebanon, IN. Was shooting for Gary but was too tired to make the push. Besides, I would have pulled in with maybe a minute or two to spare. lol. I wouldve gone for it if my delivery had stayed the same. Instead of delivering on Monday, they now have me dropping off this load in Schofield and picking up a door load in Marshfield heading to New Jersey.

Today was interesting to say the least. I woke up to a beautiful day in Bristol, TN. By the time I was ready to leave the shipper it was getting warm. It started to rain when I left. Drove through some torrential downpours coming out of TN into KY. Tornado warnings were going on. There were some really wicked thunderstorms coming up 75n. Saw 2 accidents involving trucks and passenger cars. Then I came upon a FedEx guy who hauled past me like 5 mins earlier pulling doubles off to the side of the road with the second trailer on its side. A trooper was behind him and when I passed I saw him with his face in his hands.

Then was the worst. A tractor and trailer on the southbound side was on its side. There were huge tree limbs on the road. Looked like lightening blew apart a few trees. I hope the guy was alright. There was an ambulance and a bunch of troopers. The wind was fierce too so it could have played a part.

Now I am rocking in the wind in this t/s and its like 20 degrees colder then the start of my day. I just got a shower and ate. Time for a movie and bed.

    Stay safe all!!!

In Marshfield with the new truck. 2012 Cascadia with 271 miles on it. I got to rip the plastic off the seats. Now I just hope the "new truck grimlins" have skipped this truck.
