    Yep.

with the new company 3000 miles a week minimum .335/mile that means I am back up to $4000 a month.

Once again thank you Marten for firing me.:biggrin_2559:

What do you mean "only to find out they use a sliding pay scale"? It is on their website that they pay on a sliding scale, and anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together knows that the scale drops the longer the run.

And like the last guy who #####ed about a sliding scale. Would you prefer they just give you the over 500mile rate on all loads? Like many companies do. Or pay extra on shorter runs. And no the point is not that shorter runs will make you more or less in the long run. It is that they have shorter runs and are willing to pay you more to do them while many others don't. They just pay the same for all miles run.

I sure would liked to have gotten a extra nickle a mile for all those short runs I did at May trucking but they did not have a sliding scale. Savy?

Now the real red flag is this 3 penny's a mile they take off for the perdiem yet on their website it lists per diem as a compensation because for tax purposes the perdiem rate is paid as a reimbursement but there is no mention of the 3 cents and that it is mandatory.

I spose none of this was mentioned on their web site either. That's how it usually is,you don't find anything out till orientation or when you you receive your first paycheck. But 37-38 cpm is still good.

If the top is 45 cpm, then the per diem should be 45 + 15cents or whatever the PM rate is ....putting your total pay at 60cpm...per diem should be ADDED to your stantard pay rate not taken out....

What'd this guy do...search "Desoto, Texas", and bring up a 6 year old thread to find out more about a neighborhood? Naming all then surrounding streets, sounds like he already knows way more than I do.
    Strange!

I've been to the De Soto terminal and there's a residential area up the street from there. Me thinks someone may have taken a wrong turn and may have possibly damaged property in said area.
