I'm not sure which is worse the fact the driver never checked his trailer before tryin to load. Or the company not knowing where or when it came from or was going.

Where: Tyson Olathe KS. Who: innocent driver going in to grab an empty. What: skid of meat that hadn't been offloaded from a plant to plant run. When: August. Why: shag driver didn't see it when he pulled it off the door and put it back in the empty pool.
Driver pulls up to the guard shack and opens the door for inspection. Both he and the guard almost get knocked over for the stench. Maggots. Hideous. But it happens... -
lol, i though national carriers was getting its act together by requiring 1 year exp now.
i guess some of their illegal alien drivers decided to load up south of the border. -
Common Carriers are so legitimate who would suspect they would have any knowledge. Only the shipper and the reciever would have to know what is hidden within the cargo container as the driver would not necessrily be involved in loading and unload a drop and hook trailer. In most cases the only way the Customs make a bust is for small time trafficers. The Cartels have a diverse network in and out of the USA. Billions of US dollars are heading south each and every year, and the war on drugs have not even put a dent in the illegal activity.
Remember that saying about .......a truck brought it! -
I have not heard about that. But I can tell that National Carriers does not care about their employees one bit. In thirteen months my spouse has gotten home only one time on the actual date he requested for. He is out an average of five weeks at a time. He has been a driver for 13 years and this is by far the worst company to work for. And their pay scale is not even close to the compensation one should be making with no safety, moving or accident violation. Stay away!!!
-
So why has he stayed for 13 months??Mike2905 Thanks this. -
My thoughts exactly, shouldn't he be running his own gig or working for whom ever he pleases? -
maybe he just tells her he is out 5 weeks
i must be a sexist racist bitter old man
I dont want my wife on here speaking for me EVERlonelyswmtrucker and losttrucker Thank this. -
Seems pretty dumb to me , that a driver when picking up an empty trailer does NOT look inside it ?? Most companies tell you to always inspect a trailer ( inside & out ) when hooking to it !! This is kind of part of a ( PRE-TRIP inspection ) !! LOL , sounds more to me like lazy drivers . As for drugs , DO NOT know so why amplify the rumor !
lonelyswmtrucker Thanks this.
