Still going good, trainer took vacation this week. Ready to be out of training. I believe after a year ill be looking else where. Deal with alot of b.s. that isn't worth it. Work a few hours in the plant, then go to driving, and unload the truck. Starting to get burned out on it, but sticking with it. Pays off
Off I go :D

Took the road test for my boss Thursday, went great. Go for my license in 2 weeks, could do it next week but want to make sure I'm ready. After that ill be a fill in driver wherever I'm needed until a permanent spot is open.
-
best of luck to you squeegee

Thanks. First I didn't pass, second try... well I had a crabass for an examiner that we believed to want to be off by 5. Tried for the 3rd time today, passed with flying colors. Pre-trip went great, skills tests went good aside from using two pull ups, and road test wasn't hard at all. Looking forward to being solo in another week or so.

Way better to be over prepared than not prepared enough....when I took my road test I had ZERO actual on road drive time. I rented a testing truck for a few hundred bucks and crossed my fingers. Luckily I passed the driving and paper parts of the test just fine. Got nervous on the pre-trip and forgot to check ALL of the lights. Lesson learned I guess. -
Well training has been done for two weeks. Manager still doesn't know how to certify me... think its the issue of paying me more.
-
Well no news on getting certified still. And now me and a co-worker have to cover night shift on the weekends along with our normal job. Anybody know of a new job in my area?
-
Still not certified. Pay isn't worth it, Werner trainees make more lol. Going to start looking elsewhere

Been on my own for almost 2 months. Just a fill-in driver for now. My first full week i grossed 900, and that was for only 4 days. Right now I'm working out of Candor, Nc. I'll be here for around a month. Go home on tuesdays and fridays which isn't bad. Company paid for my hotel room. My only complaint is the truck I'm driving for now. A Freightshaker with an MBE4000 and an Eaton Ultra-shift. its sluggish on starts, and hesitates to change gears at times. I already prefer a manual trans. Oh well, can't complain too much, got a decent job.
