The New FFE Driver Academey

I will be at the hotel Monday afternoon. If you have time it would b great to meet ya. Amie got her CDL and goes with a local Monday morning. She is NOT happy, but at least she has a trainer. Some of our class is still waiting. As far as neat, I would hope the trainees get n yall's trucks n respect the space. I know I WiLl I am a firm believer n " everything has its place" tho space it tight n a truck even more of a reason to try to b neat. I hope to meet ya. Till then b safe... Tj

 

WOW! I had the opposite problem. Me(the trainee) NEAT freak. Her(trainer ) messy, nasty, no-showering, no stopping for anything fool. Not at FFE, though. I could only take her for 2 months. No other female trainer at the company I went with, so home I went. Been looking at my options for 4 months now. Seeing all the positives and negatives for my 3 top runners. FFE sounds pretty good.

 

I would't like that either.Afterall thats your trk and you're sacrificing alot by sharing it.Yes as a trainer that's what you're spose to do but the student needs to respect your trk.

Hey guys I wanted to give you all an update. I have passed the driver academy and I've got my cdl. I'm now in orientation, in Lancaster. I'm waiting on a trainer. There seems to be a long wait for trainers this month. No problem, I'm on payroll. lol Everything so far is exactly the way my recruiter and the instructors have told me. No surprises, no whammys. Oh, btw, the bill if you fail out of the academy or terminated within your first year is $5800. So, moral of the story is, work hard and you won't have to worry about that.
The school itself is very fast paced and definately suited for those who understand what adult learning is. The ladies get to stay in the hotel the entire training period while the men are moved out to the dorms. Some of the guys here call it "motel hell". lol You will provide your own food, so bring enough money to eat on.
The instructors are all very professional, some nicer than others but they all have the same goal. Safety and getting you your cdl.
So far my experience has been positive, and I was surprised to see so many women. There were 5 in my class, and 6 in the class before me. Great place to get a start, so far. I'll keep you all informed on how my otr training goes.

Hey all... Just wanted to stop in and say hello... I will be joining the ranks next week.. would have been this wk but had a little personal hiccup... Really enjoy reading everyone's experience at the academy..hopefully mine will be the same... seems most follow my mantra of work hard so we can play hard. ..

 

Just finished taking my last written test for my CDL permit. talked to my recruiter @ ffe, and since i have the permit, i'll arrive @ the hotel next Wednesday to start school Thursday morning.

looking forward to meeting y'all and finally getting this started!
