If E-logs are so good why do i have to carry a paper log with it? I,ve never had to carry a E-log to back up paper logs!

Logs were a headache, All of my runs are local 5-50 mile loads. I only keep track of my hours.

FWIW, when I had my recent level 2 in Arizona, the officer thought he had me a couple of times on violations but realized I had in fact logged a proper split. -

You only do paper logs if your computer breaks down or you have a sensor failure sweetie .
If you keep paper logs after "training" periods and e-logs, you could get written up. I would say if you are "training" hte officer would understand, however your paper log should reflect the same duty status within 15 minutes/knowing e-logs is by the minute/5 minutes some companies -
You shouldn't be keeping paper and e-logs....Unless maybe your in training period....That's just for your security and the companies, incase you are not doing it correctly... That's all. After training, your on e-logs and life is soooooooo much easier in the log world
However you can still falsify your logs by logging the incorrect duty status, make sure you are ALWAYS logging the correct status.
There is a difference between off duty & sleeper..Most drivers don't think there is and that can lead to a fine Just adding that in
