    Pulled into TS less than 1/2 mile from picking up pavers. A MO Trooper pulled in front of my truck as I parked and said I had a light flickering on trailer.

    :biggrin_25510:

    As walking back he reaches into a short stack of round pavers lifts the end of one up and says this is an unsecured load.

    :biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510:

    Before I can say I just picked it up and was coming her to throw some extra straps he says he is just joking. And that would be f-ed up to do that to me. He just wanted to give me a heads up on light so that I can get it fixed because I likely wouldn't catch it in a pre-trip.

    He is now talking to the rattle trap that pulled in while we where talking. But this time his lights are on and he is not smiling.

    Good to see Mo.'s finest on the ball.......Hate it when I see a POS running down the highway and wonder how no COP see's obvious violations.

    Truck has lights hanging by wiring. This conversation is getting heated. Two other troopers have pulled up now.

    I would take a picture and post but afraid if the driver sees me it would just escalate the situation.

    Driver tried to pull the "this is private property" bs when the trooper was pointing at the lights. Didn't hear past that but I am sure that was the wrong way to start.

    Will keep you posted with maybe a photo or two.

    Yeah, it's cold and rainy but already soaked. Hope they get this over with because trooper parked behind my trailer. But don't want to shower until I get this fixed. Old wiring so have to cut and splice in a connector to put new light in.

    bbblotliz Thanks this.

    OK, final report from the field. I was cold and hungry so went to eat. While eating driver comes in with his story of out rage about being harassed on private property and because he wouldn't cooperate the trooper put him out of service.

    Plenty of sympathy from fellow truckers. I was keeping my head down not saying anything. Then he pointed to me and said I saw it happen and was being harassed when he pulled in.

    Was going to go with the "not me" approached but simply stated what was happening with me. Then he dropped the F bomb towards me and I decided to calmly inform him that when the trooper pointed out the signal light on the tractor and market light on the trailer that where hanging by wires he was best to keep his mouth shut rather than start yelling about rights and private property.

    To keep an already long story from getting longer. Couple drivers got him out of the restaurant as the cops had been called, can see the flashing lights of the wrecker putting him on the hook and I moved my parking spot back to the back so I don't wake up with a couple flats because I didn't go with option A and say he had the wrong guy.

    Great story, Bill. I'm going to have to learn from your mistake and go with the option you didn't. I wouldn't have the size on my side that you do if he decided to have more than a few choice words with me .

    Too bad he could have picked my tractor out from a mile away if he decided to do anything about it after the fact.
