Sitting at the TA in Oak Grove, MO. What a crazy day! Saw a guy get taken at a game of three card Monte... When will people ever learn that the guys who do that are taking your money. Felt bad for him as he was trying to get out of doing it, but the other "drivers" kept egging him on. Of course, they are all in on it, but you can't fix stupid!
I finished playing with my tarp and started leaving and I see two cop cars coming in to the Pilot. Oh, this was the Pilot in Bloomington, IL.
The story that they weave is so good you know its unbelievable.

We have been in Waverly OH since yesterday afternoon. Loaded late at a little lumber mill they waited for us to get here, and when we got to the scale a few mile away we were over gross. We are sitting back at the lumber mill now getting a pack pulled off. I'm thinking we aren't going to make it to our unload appt... 1pm today 600somehing miles away.

Unless your truck is a time machine or a space shuttle, you aren't making your delivery at 1pm. :biggrin_2556:

The latest we could pull in there was 2pm, so they routed us home instead. Delivery it Monday at 7am.

Bob's not happy at all about it but not much any of us can do. We were reloading in the same place we were unloading and would have been home tomorrow because I have to be home by Sunday night at the very latest.
On the other hand - yes, most of the time, they do their darnedest to make a plan happen but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way.

sitting in memphis at my shipper...I showed up early and they let me back in...but they are SLOW at loading...they have been in the process of loading me since 11:30 this morning....now it looks like they all are on lunch break...I mean really...hell if I would have showed up early I would never get out of here....god sometimes I really hate warehouses in some of these southern states where you have to deal with a bunch of self entitled workers that don't want to work...they want to socialize with everyone rather than work...grrrrr:biggrin_25516:

Just received my first load assignment for my dedicated fleet. Also received the preplan for the load after. Nice to be planned out for three days and I don't have to leave until noon on Sunday. More time with my family!
