Im thinking about getting into the trucking world and Im looking at these 3 schools.
I would like to know the pros and cons of the 3 other than
RM & TDI are a 3wk program and cost about $4700.
Orlando Tech is an 8 Wk program and cost $2100.
Ive read a lot of the post regarding these schools,
One of my main concerns is that will the trucking companys look at you any differently if you did the Orlando Tech over the other training companys? (will I have an edge over the next person inline wanting a job)
I had only called one company Windy Hill and spoke to Donna (a very nice person to talk with) who will only take students from Orlando Tech and will not take from the other schools.
She felt that you would get better training from the tech school over the other.
I havent gone to Orlando Tech to see there operation yet, but plan on going in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks,
Winger

I went to ridge career center in winterhaven 10 week class 2,000 bucks and had a job before the 10 wks was up

Don't waste time at Key, 3 days and $5k. Had a friend go there a few years ago. He had to be completely trained by my husband. That place was only good to get the CDL, not actually drive.

What the heck is "at Key" Cherokee96red????

This info may be too late to help the original poster, but I had great luck with Roadmaster Drivers School. I went to the one in Tulsa, OK, but I am sure they are all good. I got my CDL in the latter part of the third week and had three job offers before I left school. They take good care of you and follow through on your career.
