I would say go to the closest FedEx Ground Warehouse and ask them for some of their Contractors. Thats who I just got hired with, a contractor for FedEx Ground.

Call some companies and talk to the recruiters about it. If it's over 7 years old, it shouldn't be a problem. Though it does depend what the felon was. If you are a convicted thief, it's hard to get in an industry where you haul millions of dollars worth of things.

Best bet. Just ask a recruiter and go from there.

Everyone makes mistakes in there life and everyone deserves a second chance. I know many truckers with bad pasts that are now doing very well as a driver.

"Why do you look at the saw dust in your brother's eye, and fail to look at the plank in your eye?" Matthew 7:3. For all of you self righteous drivers that believe they have never done anything wrong in their lives..ever..then I suppose I've been worshiping the wrong Lord. I want to know your name so I can build a shrine in honor of you perfectness. Also, when you decide to be a water walker, lemme know so I can by tickets!

Some of you can be so ridiculous in your thinking it's amazing y'all have made it this far in life. I'm a recently retired sheriff's deputy of 22 years and have been driving for 4 years and I have encountered a lot of different people in my former career and in my new one, and most of you are ignorant and moronic to think that some felons can not be rehabilitated. This is not true. It took me a few years on the job to realize that not everyone is a dirt bag. Though, there are dirt bags and most of them can not be rehabilitated.

Some drivers that I have met and got to know who are convicted felons turn out to be genuine people and do care about the industry and strive to make it better. Seems to me that most of the ####### drivers with attitudes are the ones who talk a lot of trash have never been convicted of a crime! Here some advice for all of you who tend to judge others: "Do not judge, or YOU too will be judged and in the same measure YOU judged others." Matthew 7:1.

I can assure you there are drivers in your company, if they accept felonies (about half do), who you are friends with and you think that person is a pretty cool individual, and you probably do not even know they are a convicted felon. Get it? I'm not ignorant to think there are drivers with a felony conviction out there who aren't committing offenses, but just as many felons out there committing offenses there are non-felons doing the same.

So before any of you sit back and polish your laurels, think about some of the dumb s%*t stuff you did or are currently doing and research if it's a crime or not, because it probably is.

And to the person asking whether companies accept felons or not, a lot of do, even in the times we are in. Most companies want the felony to be at least 5 years old, some as old as 10 years. So there is hope. But yes, smaller companies are best, and some of those pay more than bigger companies and treat you better too. Lots of blessings and wishes in your endevoure.

Huh funny...people don't change, once a douche always a douche? You sir have proved your point. You are a douche. But statistically people do change: A prisoner that is released from prison and makes it through his or her parole period with out re-committing a crime is almost 10 (ten) times more likely to lead a crime free life than a parole violator.

And for future reference the word "felonist" is not a word in the English language.
