    Just seen an ad on Craigslist about pulling a van trailer with a crane system in it. Thought the rate was a little low being specialized though. Freights suppose to weigh between 15k to 35k. Some of you may have seen it. Nothing special.

    to find out trailer only weight..

    weigh tractor without trailer..then weigh both..gross ehicle weight for the tractor from the gross vehicle weight of the tractor and trailer..the difference being the gross weight of the trailer, empty.

    Simple as that

    The trailers with crane system are gonna be heavier as they were designed to lift equipment such as elevators and roof ac units in without using a dock. The trailer rails have to support the load while on the crane system.

    Good call, enclosed rates have fallen in the crapper. That's why I got out and went to hauling oil field equipment.
