have a question about HOS

Discussion in 'Trucking Industry Regulations' started by High Maintenance, Oct 4, 2007.

  1. how long should it legally take to move a load from ID to the midwest - about 1344 miles weighs about 38,000? I had it figured at about 50 legal hours - am I way off? Should it take closer to 75?

    Thanks for your help!!

Well now we just have to do miles not where to where.

    At 1344 miles,10 hours a day driving @60 MPH =22.4 HRS.

Just take (miles) dived by (MPH) =hours to drive.

Now thats drive time, just remeber that ever 14 HRS. on

    duty you need 10HRS. off.

Here is how I would run;leave at 0800 tues. drive for 10 HRS. stopping at

    1800 with 600 miles.Shut down tell 0400 weds.drive for 10HRS.stoppingat

1400 with 600 miles.Shut down tell 2400 to drive last 2.4HRS. of driving

stopping at 0230 thrus. morring.EtA. 42.4HRS. after leaving.

    hope this gives an ideal.

  4. Thanks, I was pretty sure I was right but wanted to be 100% before I took care of a situation.
