well made it through the first week fine. Terry runs a pretty tight ship in class be on time and pay attention because they weed you out fast.our class had 56 show up and less than 20 made the cut. Trainer picked me out on wednesday...guess that prior experience was good for something.lol. Looking forward to the next few weeks and getting back here tohopefully trifecta for him so we can start off on the right fot for the 30k final leg. more updates will come when i can..be safe out there

Hello, I am interested in applying with Prime, however I have heard that newby's who come in as company driver will get a smaller freightliner truck, is this true? Thank you for your time.

All three divisions have the cute trucks. Ive only seen a few on the fb side, but they are there. I have a fullsize condo sleeper, but Im flatbed. Company reefer drivers will get a cute truck.

    Cute truck... good for 5cpm.

Cute truck driven by guy from NE in NE reefer division... good for 10cpm.

Cute truck pulling much heavier load than guy in heavier "ugly" truck... priceless!

    :biggrin_2559:

Plus, ya don't have to do the secret flatbedder handshake! :biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:

I'm waiting on my Trainer to do my 40,000 then upgrade, going company and I'll drive the cute truck and make more money, decided to go Reefer as well.

I been talking to some of the guys and gals at Pittston and they tell me you can make do just fine with the cute Truck by having the shop pull the passanger seat and get a small cabinet with the front door taken off, fridge goes inside the cabinet and microwave on top of the cabinets counter top.

This one guy told me that he had a custom made cabinet but I'm sure you can go to lowes or someplace like that and get something simular.

I have also been inside of one and yes it is small but you can make it work.Another lady at Pittston showed me what she had done as well, she had shelves built to sit her clothes on the shelves she had doors with tie downs I thought it was neat.

Yes I would love to have a condo sleeper but 2 things I want to make as much as I can a Mile and as a company driver you have to take what they give you.

I'm not trying to start a argument just saying what I have discovered so far,:biggrin_25519:

I wasn't talking about weight just saying if you have to drive one it can be done just takes some getting used to and if done right can be very rewarding:biggrin_25525:

I also think the small Truck would do better in tight spaces making it easyer to get into places but' that is my opinion based on my experience driving the older Trucks.

A cute truck would do better in tight spaces. Given how small it is, the truck should do much better.
