Its because ladder line is a lower loss and has a higher velocity factor then coax, like .99 compared to .66 for cheap coax and a loss rate which is measured in loss per 1000 feet compared to loss per 100 feet for coax....
UNLESS youhave a ballance feed coax is the only way to go ...... -

You haven't been looking at the right "Quick-Disconnects" then...Yep, those Hustler quick-disconnects are junk....
