    Fat side is on the outside, put the pointy side towards the truck and you may find the job a whole lot easier.

    Today I replace the window. I followed Tim's advice.
    Instead of paying someone, I just reversed engineered how I figured it would go together and got it. Took about an hour, give or take.

    But it's in, the moulding is in, it looks great and for once...I didnt break something trying to install it.

    (I soaked everything down with WD-40...the edges of the glass and all of the rubber parts).
    That helped and hurt each step of the way - makes the glass very slippery, even with mechanic gloves.

    Use white grease next time, or any time when dealing with glass. It is a great 'stay in place' lubricant, plus also conditions the rubber and acts as a water barrier.

    1. Hopefully this was a once-in-a-lifetime thing.
    2. White grease never comes off. It is indeed a 'stay in place' lubricant, like Vaseline. Nice but messy to ever really get off of things..

    I only use two things when working with glass and seals, silicone spray (clear, slippery, and no mess) or soapy water.
