I just put a new antenna on myself... Terminator 2, now I'm finding out that I'm not smart enough to tune it:biggrin_2552: SWR is through the roof! Put my old no name fiberglass on and it's fine! Seems like there's a bit bit more to this antenna selection process than I bargained for.

if it's fine with the old antenna but not with the new...

pretty good chance it's the antenna and not the coax.

I run the Francis, works good, cheap to replace and you can find one everywhere. However it isn't working out to good on a Cascadia.......but that is another thread on here.

the wilson 2000,s 5" shaft are tough and they work really well for me being that all if not most of my moves are in the city or really tight job sites with all kinds of obstructions and no matter how careful and slow i maneuver throuh the obstructions they still take a beating and im running two of them and they work great,i just check my swr once in a while and im good to go,good luck with your selection..
