call a recruiter.... :biggrin_2559: but could you clarify what you mean "pay scale for free training"?

you dont get paid during the school
you get paid 455/w during otr with a trainer
    you start at .29 cpm
... school is free if you complete one year... and no it isnt like other places where you pay 50 a week... nothing comes from your paycheck while your with them... but if you dont make a year, it will be payrated.. so i cant tell you exactly what it would be

    hope that helped

lol dont be nervous... keep a positive attitude, do as instructed... and dont be afraid to ask questions... the "wallflowers" in our class were the ones that were sent home... get to know the instructors, they are good people... like Dave told us today while doing our shifting training "Dont think of us as 'The Man'... because we think of you guys as coworkers... and because you decided to join this profession we are friends... we are brothers and sisters... we are here to make sure you are safe, learning, and able to make a career in this lifestyle"

That being said tho... we lost one today... he allready had a CDL... and thought he knew EVERYTHING... he had a bad attitude, and argued with the instructors... and because of that he was told to leave... all because he didnt want to double clutch

I brought mine, free wifi in the hotel, dorm and terminal so I always had entertainment and had the ability to do the work they assigned me without fighting over a computer in the lab. It works out well if you have Netflix too! But don't expect to have it out all the time, but it helps. Remember that is an extra bag though so if you can fit it in one your other bags safely it helps A LOT!

I already have my CDL, is there anything involved with the DMV as far as tests go? I get test anxiety but am otherwise fine. :)

I have been talking with Sandy Adams the past week and half or so, she has been awesome with answering all of my questions. Im just wondering, I have been reading these threads for awhile now. Why would someone get sent home after being admitted to the program? Other than not passing drug/background checks. Seems kinda stupid they would spend money getting you out there and then a week in after you have already started training that they would cut you and send you home.
This is the only thing holding me back because I would be quitting my job and moving my few things in to a storage facility so I have no rent bill while being on the road. Little help for this newb/wannabe appreciated,

They send ppl home for all sorts of reasons. They can't hack the course, they came unprepared for the commitment, they have a medical condition.

we had a guy get sent home from our class because he mouthed off the DPS lady before he took his 1st exam. We had a guy go home because he couldnt pass his final road eval on the 3rd attempt.

quiting your current job and stowing your gear shows a commitment, its up to you to follow through on it. You will have to earn your cdl, it will NOT be handed out to anyone who just shows up with a pulse.

If you take it serious, you will be ok. Remember they are watching everyone who shows up and quickly seperate those who can from those who can't.

those who can't ride the bus home. those who can, advance to the next level.

Virus is on point. I can also sum it up with less diplomacy, dont be a dumb ###!

You can pretty much tell who is going to be back on the bus.
