What may be good for one driver may be bad for another, just remember if its not working out, and you can't stick it out for a year, then look for something else and quit the proper way, don't burn bridges...
Good Luck Monday with Western ... They do have nice looking trucks...Maverick Griff Thanks this. -
Don't think of orientation as test, all orientations is more of what the company is about how they do things and help you get the job done safe and on time. keep a open mind and just listen to the instructor and not the students because they have rumors. If the instructors were like mine they were eager to answer every question that you have from driving to paper work. If you are having trouble take one aside tell him what you are having problems if he is a good instructor he will help in everyway. if you hear any one start complaining stay away from them they will bring you down. Go there with a positive attitude that is what I did. I had alot of bad experiences but kept going and I am glad I did. It is great on the road met alot of good people and met some bad but more good than bad. Good truckers are the ones that will help and not complain. Good luck let us know how you are doing and this is a good place for help also.
Maverick Griff and Joescheppae Q Thank this. -
When you can bud..pick up a laptop or netbook at bestbuy or walmart that has a built in webcam..most truckstops nowadays are wired with wireless and most smart phones can act as an aircard too if you download the right apps for em..
get the wife and kids one too..and home net..then hop on yahoo msgr..fire up the webcams for a couple hours a day...they stay in touch with you..and you them..and it helps on both sides.
