ACT american central transport

I'm starting on the 12 as a company driver and for the past 12 years I've been running mostly mid-west never did like going to the north east. so as long as i can stay away from there i'll be happy.

 

Yea that my luck to . I made my delivery in columbus have a total of 1528miles for the week. Its friday they gave me a load deadhead 136miles to wabash pick up a paper load going to kc . only has 516miles on it . Here the kicker it delivers on tuesday cant claim the miles this week . Asked if i could drop in the yard they said no weekend freight. Maybe we let you drop on monday we see how freight is. SO im crossing my finger that i can drop monday otherwise i have 1528 for a paycheck.

 

I think your buddy was not telling you the whole story.None of what you said could add up.First thing,they give you a 500 dollar bonus with no truck payment the first week,so about the minimum you could make would be around 1000 dollars on week one.Second thing,you would have to only run about 900 miles a week to get that low of pay,say 300 dollars/week.Third thing,I've never heard of anybody sitting for 4 days unless they turned down all loads sent to them.I've sat for 1 1/2 days at the most since I started.Now your buddy could have done what you said by not accepting any loads and sitting in truckstops 4 or 5 days a week,2 here 3 there and the 4 you mentioned.Sounds liike your buddy might not be the kind of guy ACT hires.

 

I have Mark too. And I think hes useless. Send him PTA after PTA and it seems like hes suprised when Im empty.

Who told you that? Im far from leaving. My one and only complaint is dispatch. Other then him having his head in his ### most of the time I love the company. Just could stand to be a bit more consistent and productive.

 

i here that . on dispatch he preety consistant for giving loads that are appoint only or load late or deliver late . Hate it when my logs running waiting for dispatch. I had a good week this week hope it stays that way . got choices even got a preplan . I have no idea how to act . Finally broke the 2500 barrier 2.
