They may have changed things lately, but when I went last March to ATL for orientation, they sent everyone home after orientation and then your trainer would contact on when you could get with him to meet up. Of course, they could have changed things. Hope that helps.

For the Midwest Region at least the training program is now 1 week at the OC, then right out with a TE for a week, and then back to the OC for another week and test out. Depending on where your TE is SNI may put you on a bus, in a rental car, or have you sit in ATL for a day. East coast may still be on the old way of doing things, but I would come with everything you'd need to go on the road for a week (pack light though)

You can leave your car at the OC, talk to the guy leading your class and he will tell you how to get it in the gate.

Sorry, Superdave...been off the board for a bit. What happened with your training? Since Gary was an experienced driver, they didn't send him out with a trainer. He was supposed to go out right after orientation, but they didn't have a truck for him. He had to wait 3 days to hitch a ride with another driver to go to Indianapolis to get a truck. I hope everything went well for you.

    So far so great!

I just finished a week with my Training Engineer. Due back in ATL Monday morning for phase 3 (final testing). Ready to get some keys!
