You are exactly right on the money No jokes, I love this attitude because it's possible to make a living legally, it just takes planning and if something happens notify the dm/customer asap and usually this can be adjusted. If you do not have the hours to arrive comfortably, you should not take the load or relay it.

High jacked the hubbies laptop again. Just wondering how many here remember a time when there was no logbooks, or when log books first came to being and were used for purposes other than keeping track of HOS. I remember each and every time I can do a really nice long load trip but don't have enough hours and have to turn it down. I have been audited for a full 6 months of records. Lucky me huh they pulled my name out of a hat. That is exactly what happened they selected 15 drivers at random from 80 drivers to audit at the firm. We then went to elogs and they have now had 3 months to compare. Had no violations the first time have not had any violations since.
The only thing that is different now instead of getting out a pen, a ruler and a 2 copy book of log pages all I do is get the keyboard, and type. I do have one complaint keyboards can be hell on finger nails can they possible do it as a voice command program and save on the manicure bills. Been said many times you run for a good company then you dont have to worry about doctoring your logbooks, simple really. -
