you'll get exercise alright when dispatch gives you the run around of we'll give $100 ....I dont think so since thats about a third of what lumpy wanted

I once paid $305 for a trailer load at Rite-Aid in Woodland, CA and it took 8 hrs. for them to do it. Just plain crazy for that kind of service.

Thats not bad at all compared to my current situation. I'm paying $300 for the lumpers to unload 27 pallets (2,612 cases or 24,615 lbs) that breaks down to 40 pallets of brats/sausage here in Harmony, PA. I normally lump all my own frieght, but since my stomach is just rolling all over this morning I decided to hire it out. Four hours later the guy isn't even half way done...normally this isn't a big deal, but it has now made me late for my next drop. I guess I should of just sucked it up and still done the work myself while puking on the dock.

the only time i paid someone was over in neb , and that was a load of meat, they started , then half way thru they quit, it was a prepay service, they were in break room, then after the break they went too anthor truck, didnt even finsh mine, i waited till they got done, nope started anthor truck, and i didnt do nothen but ask him if there gona finsh my truck, so i could pick up my next load as my time was running down too go get it , finnly i gave up went back, seen how it was done, grab pallet jack, pull it out the pallets , took the 2 rows of white boxs off the top made anthor pallet, each box weigh 65 pounds so that wasnt a big deal and i enjoyed the work out, called up boss and he got very upset with me, then calm down as i hold the phone away from ear, you gonna talk me now,ok, i did this so i can get my next drop on time ok, ok he said get going, and btw , your getting this lumper fee too , as this was allready paid for lumper service,i guess they had a long talk with there people,

I have been serviced by rip off lumperts to reasonable.
I spend $750 to unload hot dog buns at 4 different receivers that were within 5 miles radius of each other. Day started at 6am and I finished at Midnight. This was very simple restack procedure, take top 2 rows from a pallet and put it on a new one. 4 Pallets = 6 pallets when restacked. Took them 4hours to unload 4 pallets.
on the other hand
SuperValue of Hopkins MN charged $60 to unload 24 pallets, and it took them 30 minutes.
I think its reasonable to pay for good services but I cant stand those Union worker attitude. I would honestly fire them all, let them get the minimum unemployment while they look for a job. Their attitudes would change right away. -
Just think you could have made an easy $750.00 if you unloaded it yourself.Union or not I HATE LUMPERS PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!keepntruckin Thanks this.
