LMAO..you are so full of it..
and if the clutch is depressed the jake won't trigger..it all comes down to timing.
Floating or double clutching is personal preference only unless dictated by your company..and most copanies listen to the manufacturers that say DOUBLE CLUTCH

Well I've been working on my timing. Im now better at floating than DC. Thing is its as if it happened over night. I'm not bragging by any means. I think it's just my timing. Today I kept grinding, then said screw it and started floating, no problems after that. Every shift but a couple were slip in slip out. So i will say i still DC down shifting, but I now float up and its like a knife in butter. I just take my time and it works. Thanks for the help guys

The only time I might use the clutch while shifting is when going up a steep mountain. It will help assure the gear goes in all the way. You don't want that puppy popping out during a hard pull. It can prove catastrophic. It can scare the sheet out of ya too.
