There's Yerba Mate from Argentina and Erva Mate from Brasil. I guess nobody is familiar with the one from Brasil.:biggrin_25513:

Never causes any arguments when I do it.

I'm always looking for the smartest person in the room to talk to. And generally spend most of my time in front of a mirror. :biggrin_2559:

    Mommas_money_maker and FLATBED Thank this.

I buy five hour energy in the 10 pack at walmart for 17.99 thats almost half of the price of singles at the TS. I usually need a boost when pushing hard. It only contains a small amount of caffeine, so it works well in combination with coffee or tea. I have stopped using Red bull, Monster, and Rock-star. Water will help you stay hydrated cause caffeine is a diuretic.

This is what I drink, Mate Leao (erva mate from Brasil). It's cheap, but I can only find it at Brazilian mini markets. I put some in my mug, pour hot water on top, then use a metallic straw to drink it. In South of Brasil, the "gauchos" (cowboys in that region) drink that all day long.

The "erva mate" has also nutritious properties as complex B, vitamins C and D, minerals... it helps digestion, urination, it has anti-rheumatic properties, etc, etc and it also improves the libido.

I pretty much stay away from caffeine...always have. never drank coffee...can't imagine waking up every morning needing a coffee and a cigarette.

I drink a little tea on occasion...

My cure for being tired is a good nap.

My big (32 oz I think) Pilot cup full of coffee in the AM, and having XM radio to listen to helps me stay awake also.

I drink lots of water, which in turn makes me stop and pee every 2 to 3 hours. When I stop I try to stretch out and walk around for a few minutes, maybe even have a light snack.

I find myslef more tired in the winter when it's 40 degrees in the sleeper. Rolling over on that cold pillow is like someone sticking an ice pack to the side of your face.
