No one that I know of on here is in the tanker division. Pay I believe is 41cpm, but dont quote me on that one. Its mainly a regional thing. They do have a run that goes to Cali. Also go to Ga some, but mostly NE. Around 1800ish miles a week, thats what Ive heard anyway.

Saw a couple of tankers heading east when I was coming west on I-80 in WY, surprised me, did not think they got this far west

They don't have a southeast regional divison, but I've seen plenty of them down that way. A couple of years ago I saw 20-or-so tankers parked at the QualaWash (?) in Charlotte NC. We have a big operation starting up in Decatur IL to service ConAgra out there.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the flatbed guys... they're too busy admiring their latest securement job to notice where the Prime tanker yankers are! LOL!

Over 75% of primes tanker runs are jersey to the surrounding areas. Usually jersey to Pennsylvania. They usually won't hire people into tanker who aren't on north east. As you won't have hometime opportunities. They have dedicated runs all over though. Though you usually have to work awhile to be considered.

Pay starts at 41/mile. They don't get a lot of miles though. Most I talked to said they made more money reefer side.

Another thing to consider. You cannot use weather and what not to shut down. If the roads are open, you are running. They don't have enough drivers to repower and theyre contract is pretty strict.

To be honest. If you're interested in tanker, I wouldn't come to prime. Schneider might be a better choice there.

    BlueThunderr and da1 Thank this.
