what engine do you have? not all engines may be equipped with DPF
-
try controlled emissions systems 562-927-6549 or 323-773-1413 they will put a temp gauge on the exhaust to see what temp the engine runs at to determine which filter to use the lower the horsepower the cheaper it is..quote was 8000 to 12000 dollars for all engines

is a n14 celect plus, the others are redtops as well..
CATshaker Thanks this. -
hey thank for the numbers.. ill give them a buzz
-
Celect plus is too dumb ECM to work with DPF. There is no J1939 governing, so I cant imagine how can regeneration work with this ECM. And it is not all, really Celect plus may be calibrated up to Eurp 3 with NOx emission so DPF is useless, it is just soot catcher, but no soot with non egr engine.....
DPF cant eliminate NOx.
So I sugest it would be better do the engine swap with EPA2007 from wrecked yard (lol, there are many crashed new trucks), and sell N14. it is really easy to sell celect plus, especially export it,
I'd use ISX 15 DPF (CM871 -
how about the passive pm's? some of the filters im seeing are passive and require only 260*c for 25% of the time and are still tier 3.
and as far as repowering to an isx wouldn't it be smarter to just accept the vip voucher for a 07 or new truck? i could qualify for 40k toward an 07 or newer truck at that point i should be able to find a truck that new pretty easy as well.. say for 50k then im only loosing 10k on a newer truck.. -
holy #### Dezlfrek you can buy a cheap van trailer for $5k and move all your stuff to this side of the country away from CARB! Lolareelius Thanks this.

tier 3 is the US analogue of Euro 3, but w/o speed governing (in EU 8 class trucks cant run over 55 mph).
Anyway, Euro-3 is not EPA 2007. EPA 2007 is like Euro-4, EGR to eliminate NOX, and EGR is not accurate enought so soot may appeare, DPF catches soot.
SCR is zero NOx emission technology. But EGR is used with SCR to save DEF.
About passive DEF.... it is the nightmare to change it every time it is clogged. -
the thing is if i get to tier 3 im good until 2021..
and yes that would be me next question is how long they last or often do you have to change them out?
