We use fluid film on electrical connections to prevent corrosion. Good stuff. Never thought about it on a fifth wheel...hmmm.

I keep a can of penetrating oil handy and generally spray a small amount everytime I spin them back in after unloading, but also have some Tri Flow non-graphite lube that was reccomended to me by a locksmith. It works amazing on everything from sticky locks to binders to squeaking door hinges.

I use Dura Plate chain and cable lube. Works great does not collect dust or wash off.

Another driver put some hub oil on mine and it works great.

I have found Kroil to be the best stuff to use on ratchets by miles. It permeates and lubricates the metal, not just the joint. I have always used this to restore rust pocked rifle bores before lead lapping. I swear by it and so do most steel mills where you will never see a mill worker just leaving a can layin around.

i found anti seeze works well. unscrew the thread , wipe some on the bottom with the brush,, thread it in , coats everything as you screw together

I use the dry graphite spray. Sprays on wet then dries so it doesn't collect dust. Best to start with when binders are new or need to be very clean so it adheres to the metal. That fluid film sounds interesting for lots of other things tho

Good chain lube works as well as anything. Kind of like changing your oil. They are all ok-if you take the time to change it. Do your maintenance and it will be time well spent. Truck and binders, winches, etc.
