WOW - so many down days following SO many down days... so glad to be moving again!! Evidently CA is a black hole and there wasn't any loads out yesterday or today - but we got one to get us out of here tomorrow... heading 400 miles there - and MAYBE they will load us early I won't hold my breath though - LOL!
I'm just glad to get moving again!! Resolved some stuff at home, a place for Momma and started some other stuff that we will need to problem solve - but we can brainstorm that on the road... just need to move and keep moving now.
We were doing our 9 hours/day and running on our recaps, but that didn't seem to get us the miles/week... so we are going to try to bump our 70 as often as possible and take 34s... see if that will net us more miles/week...
Wish us luck!! And we will see you out there

I prefer running against the 70. You just need to keep an eye on how much you're getting back when you accept a pre-plan.Lady K Thanks this. -
We will take any and all prayers!! Thank you

I'm not a big country music fan...so this will probably be old for those of you who keep up with it..but I heard Ronnie Milsap sign.... "I'm a Prisoner to the Open Road". Not only is that a clever play on words...but it's the truth. The road may be openl...but .... Hang in there guys. I'm solo....my wife is home caring for her father. Hope our kids do the same.

Yeah would really like communication... Had LOTS of time on our load to IL... Frustrated, but grateful due to our colds. Gary is pretty much over his, I still have the yucky productive cough.
So we finally get unloaded and are already for a quick turn around and run back... Get a load 255 miles away ... Scheduled to pick up in 2 hours.. When we are 120 miles away, we are asked for our ETA... We responded back with 2-2.5...
We get there in the time estimated and are told by the SHIPPER that 'they' called and said we wouldn't be there before 1700... Got there at 1645... So 'they' rescheduled us to 0800 the next day!!
While we were waiting... We got our preset for AZ to NJ then our load from NJ back to CA and we haven't even picked up our current load!
So we are back on the road again... And after a SLOW start, we are rolling nowWedge Thanks this. -
ARG again on the communication... Everyone says the ball dropped from someone else's side... Company, broker, receiver... And we get stuck in the middle. THANKFULLY the receiver unloaded us, but said that 'they/our company' rescheduled us for the next day... Really not liking these brokered loads!!
So we are back in CA with a short load to AZ (at least no DH miles) and after we unload we will pick up our baked goods and head to NJ on our 'preset' that was ready for pickup yesterday...Wedge Thanks this. -
It all sounds good - so good luck to you both!

In St. Clair, MO - signs of spring and the humidity to go with it... waiting (and playing on-line) while a tire is being changed on the trailer - glad we pretrip - a supersingle tread was separating!! Dinner started in the crockpot - now to do paperwork while sitting still

By any chance were you parked along I 55 last night? I passed a truck with a Giant Constitution Class cruiser on the side and a even bigger Federation logo...
