That thing is almost certainly empty and thus weighs very little. Either way I'm more impressed by the fact that he got somebody to let him drive a tank truck in the first place. -

We had a common carrier just out of town but still in the county drop with no vapor. This guy walks up to him and asks "are you required to use vapor recovery"? The driver goes off on him and tells him to mind his own business. The guy says it is my business and shows him his credentials and he also tells him not to drop another drop of product until your company contacts me. It wasn't any of our drivers and we all laughed pretty hard.
The same company had a contamination where they had a trailer at the yard half full of just ethanol. Some driver didn't check and hooked it up and loaded the trailer with diesel. Here's a good question for all of you guys, What do you do with that contamated trailer? BTW that company lost the contract to pull for us any more. -
A better question is how do you take off with a truck that is partially loaded and not realize it? Even 1100 gallons you can feel it.

Im going to start hauling fuel probably next week. Anyone got any pointers into this industry that might help

Take your time, Check everything twice.. If you are hauling 1 product such as heating oil or Diesel you really can't get any easier.. Follow all the rules at the terminals, Some are more strict than others.
