Will I need to obtain a copy of my driving records? I moved away from California many years ago and I cant even find my old license to do a search for it online.

I went to the CA DMV web pages -- what a swamp! A labyrinth! A cess pool! Everything but your question (and an answer)! Let's hope you won't need any CA driver info--that will probably depend on the carriers you apply to. Let me know if you do--there's a CA DMV office right across the street from where we do some shopping every week. I could run in and ask what hoops you'd have to jump through. Let's hope you won't have to deal with these people. But ... there should be time while you're in truck school to get it done.
CRSTMaria Thanks this. -
Thanks for looking into it for me. I have been digging up the house trying to find my old license and I cant figure out what I did with it. I am 99% sure I would not have thrown it away. Now I am searching though old papers trying to see if I documented the number anywhere. I cant even remember if it has been 5 years since my last ticket which I believe is. How stupid I feel for not keeping my life organized

I could try using a website as mentioned here
Yes. While if you try to obtain your driving record through the DMV they will ask you to provide your driver's license, this is not the only way to get driving record information. If you go online, there are multiple sites that offer driving record information. Driving record information is a matter of public record, so these sites are completely within their rights to provide you with this information.
This means you can use online record sites to not only obtain your own driving record, but to recover your license number if you have lost it or to obtain the license number and record of other drivers as well. All you have to do is provide the name and city of the person you wish to obtain a record for and you should receive the record almost instantly over the Internet. -
Nah, don't feel that way. It'll turn up. Again, +1 on the Emerson quote. Uh .. maybe you had to surrender the CA license to your new state when you moved?

Zoltan: "Hello. I need my old license number, please."
DMV: "If you give us your old license number, we'll give you your old license number."
I'll check out those links. -
They punched a hole in it and handed it back to me. That I do remember

Oh yeah -- I do seem to recall the hole-punch thing.

Call a CA, DMV and ask for your old License number....they should give it to you....
