So I've been trolling the boards here for a couple weeks and read through a lot of the posts (mainly Baritones) and liked a lot of what I was reading. I put in an application online Saturday morning and got a call back from Alice this morning at 10:30 wanting a little info on my military career. Sounds promising so far, Alice sounds like a great woman and depending on what happens with the Coast Guard these next couple weeks I hope to be joining you guys on the road sometime this year.

No, Millis the company in which this thread is located. I had to check again to make sure, yep this is the Millis board.

So, Alice called and left a message on my phone today that I was approved and they want to schedule my training. YAY!!! Only problem, I got that message 1 hour after my Commanding Officer told me he was cancelling my discharge paperwork because they need me too bad here. :biggrin_25513: I guess I'll at least be finishing the next 2 years of my enlistment now, unless of course I decide to stop working out. We'll see what happens with healthcare next year.

Well I am sure they will still want you when you are finished. Most importantly - "Thank you for your service"!

Thanks David, it is greatly appreciated, but with all of the stuff going on in politics I in some part wish I could get out now. I'll just wait until my enlistment is up in 2014 and call Alice again though. BTW next time you're near Milwaukee let me know and I'll buy you a cup of coffee or lunch or something. Your posts have been very helpful to me in my decisions for the future. I really can't wait to get started in trucking. It's been a long time growing inside me.
