I came across this thread searching on Google. Hope ya'll don't mind if I post here.
My Husband recently got his CDL with all the endorsements..so he is new to this.. He has worked in the Oil field for the past few years, is used to long hours.. 80+ a week. used to hard work outside, etc.
He has been a roughneck, worked as a dewatering operator and solids control he now works as a frac operator here in Cleburne . He went to the driving school for this company and is now driving there trucks.
However he is now switched to payroll and it is killing us. He made double when he was working hourly.
Does anyone know of any companies hiring for Sand Haulers in the DFW area? Water Haulers in the DFW area? Any advice what so ever on this? Is the pay good? He makes 2k a month now.. not nearly enough for everything.
Thanks guys, hopefully we can get some help.

Check out the thread....Good jobs in Texas.....lots of companies listed there.
I haul sand, but wouldn't recommend my company to a new driver.....pay cuts and slow work for a new hire.....good luck. -
i know a sand plant in erna tx that hauls out to dallas to storage silos.
check out Erna Frac Sand and see if they can help with some loads. -
Ed Davenport Inc in Brady is Hiring o/o and drivers
Call Shane 325-597-3434 -
do you know how they pay is in brady

I know this is old, but maybe he's still looking.
FlexFrac Oilfield (not to be confused with all the bad reviews about Flex Frac Logistics)... they are starting fresh supposedly but with COMPANY drivers and real percentage, not this O/o stuff.
Check em out in alvarado or flexfrac.com
thing is they haul sand for themselves and work dont slow too much like some of these I been hearing about. -
Are you saying they are two different companies or just that they have changed hands? I had heard their ads but then ran across those bad reviews and decided against putting them on my list.

Flex Frac sucks. If you see anything or anybody associated with flex frac, RUN!!!!!!
1. Their Dispatchers don't know what the ###### there doing. Make u drive 200 miles and then say go back to the opposite direction.
2.They will try to outbid DT and will pay $3.50 - $3.80 a mile where there's other companies that pay $4+ per mile (over 100 miles). And they pay $50 for detention time.
3. They got some decent freightliner trucks with ALL JUNK 20-30 year old trailers.
Whether it's flex frac oilfield or quick sand, it's the same people. Company got split in half.
Worked for them for 1 month last year, it was the worst decision I made in my life.pathfinder1361 and jvar4001 Thank this. -
Kinda strange how on every post Kdawg is promoting Funkfrac. Must be their new recruiter......
-
No guys its true.. flexfrac logistics (now quicksand) out of fort worth is a different company than the new flexfrac oilfield out of richardson or alvarado. huge ordeal. but oilfield is much better than logistics from what i hear.
