Not a trainer here...sorry. I haven't been with the company long enough, and I'm not really the 'trainer' type.
-
10-4. Appreciate it. U seem like a cool guy. So had to ask.
-
Yep thanks to dispatch and the fifedom wars my tyson load was is late. Finally repowered to a trainer with student at 2200 last night. Had to be in broklyn by 800. Only 660 miles away, and they had already put in 600 miles for the day. And it is the students 2 week. So once again stevens will look the other way on their own policy to cover a tyson load.
Me I am headed to landover for an 0300 appt. -
You said it perfect, there are no rules as long as its a benifit to the company!! Well im finally droping the last drop of this beef load in Oxnard then off to Ontario to wait for my next load. Should be going home soon, we shall see. DM backed me along with safety on my message to the CSR, and I personally rescheduled the drops, adding to his lack of drive. Sometimes its easy to look past the big picture out here, I do it all to often. Bottom line is I came OTR to gather the experience, miles, and time I need to eventually haul freight close to home. I will stick in the fight and I will not be another driver who lets the small stuff get in the way of the long term goal. I love my life and my family, and for now Stevens transport is part of that family. Hell, call me a company man, imma get the job done, safely and efficiently. Sorry for the negative post latley, im learning what fights are worth it and what ones I need to ignore. Till next time. Be Safe, Shifty!!Corporal_Clegg and Dryver Thank this.

LOL, Oh boy, I also sold cars working at a Honda dealership, I did well but hated it, total mind games. If you ever buy a new Honda and they try to sell you the paint protectant or interior fabric protectent don't do it, all Hondas have it from the factory. My dealer sold it anyway for $400, see, mind games & BS. So, good car salesmen make good truckers? Oh boy.Corporal_Clegg Thanks this.

Sitting here at the Pilot in Hesperia waiting until I can head down the hill to Compton.
Appt is 1600, but figure I'll leave here at noon and see if I can slip in a bit earlier.
Nice weather here.
I know I'm unusual for truckers, but I love SoCal in many ways. Too bad it's part of the Socialist Republic of California!TRKRSHONEY and Shiftylots Thank this. -
So back on the 16th I pick up this load in Storm Lake, Iowa from Tyson going to Dolores on the 20th. 1,100 miles, five days. sigh. On Sunday Deb got permission to drop it early. So then on Monday I get a QC saying the trailer needs a DOT done ASAP before I drop it. Go get that done, then I have to go get the truck PM'd. Go to drop the trailer and they say no drops, and they don't care who got permission when or why, no drops. So I sat on it until delivery this morning. Get here and wait hours for a dock door. Half an hour after docking I'm called and told to pull out, close my doors and park, they will call me in an hour. I wait for 2 hours, then go to the office. Now, six hours later, I'm in another dock and getting unloaded. Their trailer taking this to Mexico broke down and I had to wait for it to be fixed or replaced.
So, five days, 1,100 paid miles. March continues the march toward absolutely horrible miles. Then I get a preplan that picks up today and delivers two days later, 1,800 miles away in Cali. I have less than six hours left on today's 14 hour clock and I'm not done unloading yet.
sigh -
I left Stevens about 2 months ago and am now driving an auto transporter. If you have any questions about this line of work feel free to pm me. BTW, I think that my company is hiring and they will work with you on you experience.
