I delivered here at Byron Center, MI at the Spartan Foods DC (who BTW, unload fast for being a unionized shop). I managed to grab a spot at the Mobil TS just down the street. I was about to knock off for the night when I heard a pounding on my sleeper, not a light knock mind you but a super hard almost angry pounding. I get up to find 2 girls offering their services. I politely dismissed them even after a quick flash. I swear I probably have dents in the side of my sleeper from those two!
JEEZE! Don't bang so loud!

This one of my peeves, Unless the truck is on fire, their is no need to beat on the side of the cab.

You got to learn to rock the cab while you sleep. They see that cab swaying side to side and they keep on walking. Well, that's my theory anyway. Try it out and let me know.

I've had other drivers say "wake me up when you get up". Instead of knocking, I stand on the steps and hold on to the handrail and rock him awake. Kinda like "kinder, gentler" , right ?
unclebilly and rookietrucker Thank this. -
Knew a guy that was parked on the side of the road sleeping, trooper used his maglight to bang on the side to wake him up and told him to move. The next morning he saw the dents! But at least he didn't get a ticket.
