The name of the company says it all.......skyview farms. Farmers farm and truckers truck. I have seen no good come from companys that say so and so farms on the side of the truck instead of so and so trucking.

That was some good reading I just want to know how the story ended with that mike guy. He sounded really pissed. I guess this company is still in business.

that mike guy has a lot to say I just wish he would post some of his settlement sheets on here for us to look at,then we would know what is going on. My son and I rode our motorcycles out to skyview last summer and spent about 3 hours with these guys. I could not find anything wrong with what they had to say. They do take a lot off of you,but it is almost as close to being on your own as it gets in my opinion. We both have our own tractors and we talked to four guys that were out in the yard away from the office and they were lease purchasing the tractors they were driving and they all were upbeat and satisfied. One fella from Philadelphia had been with them a couple of years was fairly well pleased. I have also ran into a young fella at a couple different truckstops around the country and he was exstreamely happy with skyview. My son and I are still up in the air about leasing on with them. We also went out to see the Chicoda guys in Beatrice,Ne.I posted a couple questions on here about them and got several negative replies, the owner called me and was pretty upset about the replies I recieved and they posted a fairly large rebuttal on this site. All in all I quess we will never know unless we give it a try ourselves.

jeff at skyview. Is that tractor you are running white with orange fenders and super single tires?. If it is you are the young guy I talked to that was well pleased. If you remember me I was pulling a flat with a cab over frieghtliner. Send me a pm sometime and we will exchange phone numbers. Take care. Chuck.

i have worked for skyview for almost 2 yrs, i have been treated fair, and have made a decent living, it sounds to me like a bunch of people who had no idea what they were doing. Koby, and his brother are easy to talk to, if you have problems. the money is ok,(as an o/o its never enuf,, lol) and the dispatchers are very willing to work with you any way they can. follow the rules, work hard, be honest, and you.will be fine.

Dear Travlntrkr: I am very happy that your experience with Skyview has been positive. Initially, we were positive about Skyview. It wasn't until we attempted to flat out PURCHASE the leased truck that things went downhill fast. As soon as I told them that I had secured the money to pay for the truck the crappy, low paying loads started. We couldn't even make the lease payment on the loads Skyview was dispatching to us. When you play their game their way and they can make money off you all is well -- I have discovered over the past few years. When you try to buy the truck you're driving -- your taking your chances. Lease programs should be outlawed in any case FROM MY EXPERIENCE with lease programs. Only the trucking company has come out a winner everytime we have leased on. Good luck to all who continue with Skyview Farms (and all the other lease programs!). We keep looking for a good lease and have never found one... I had my say, I warned people not to get taken by Skyview Farms out of Gothenburg, but you're grown people. Kiss their behind's and you'll be fine. I am signing off and only looking forward. Bad trucking companies are now in my past.

As for MikeSanto -- try as we may, it is impossible to go after these ripoff companies. The companies know it too... The only possible solution is to go to the DOT and Congress to have them take action against trucking scammers. I assume Congress doesn't care, as they must know what is going on out there. It is not a small problem with a few drivers. Companies are getting smarter as they have leasing companies they work with rather than run their own truck leases. (Do they have a stake in these leasing companies????) They will always find a way to rip off the drivers. I'm out of here and out of the trucking industry -- twenty years of bad experience with a husband with 36 years as a good, dependable, safety-conscious driver. Good luck y'all!

well i dont understand your story i guess. if you had the money to pay it off why didnt you, tthen take the truck to another co.i would also like to know how long you were there, and what time of year it was. as for me, my experiance here has been good, and would not be afraid to recomend skyview to a friend......

THAT'S THE PROBLEM!! They wouldn't take the money! They didn't want to sell the "LEASED" truck! My husband was there in the spring and summer. When he talked to other drivers they were getting good loads, and he was getting BLOOD MEAL. There were other drivers he spoke with and they were screwed on their lease deals too. I stand by my original statement -- if you're a company driver and a behind kisser you're probably fine. Don't rock the boat. DON'T lease a truck from Skyview! You're taking chances with your career and income!

    GOOD BYE ALL!
