hey full moon,im still here at ACT and frankly wished i had been here for the last 17 years,,such an improvement over "normal" trucking,,,i just rarely post here anymore,i do most of my squawkin' on fb and the act fb page, and i promised alan when i left that i wouldnt post a lot of negatives on here,,good luck to everyone here at JCT,,if you get a dm thats good with e-logs and with the planners you will do fine,,as many of you know,,when caleb (my dm) was here i got 3400-3600 miles a week on the e-logs no sweat,,so e-logs aint the problem (and im on them here at ACT as well) anyway,,good luck to all and be safe out there,,,and now for some unabashed recruiting.....if it doesnt work out for you at jct for whatever reason then call me and we'll talk about ACT it is a great place to drive for,,go to my fb page : lee sessions. cya guys!

i disagree,,i left and got all my maintenece fund back (913.00 after 464 dollar pm that was due was taken out) and got my last two paychecks on time and correct to the penny,,,but,,,,,,, i did leave quietly without being an a-hole and made sure to call payroll at least once a week to verify that the pay was in the "pipeline" and that there were no issues that i needed to attend to,,my best advice is to call payroll and get the issues sorted out and call leasing and human rescources also to find out how to get your termination/exit date corrected so you wont be billed for lease payments,,good luck to ya'

First and foremost I am NOT a JCT hater s bear that in mind..I have been off the road for 6 years now due to injury and injury only..It was a bad truck wreck and I was not at fault.

That said.I ran solo for JCT in 05/06..Solos or teams can pretty much decide how hard they want to run themselves..Back then JCT kind of looked the other way on logs..as long as fuel stops matched they ignored the rest for the most part.

There were weeks solo I cracked 4000 miles with a bullet...I never..ever had a week lower than 3300 miles...California turn arounds were the norm..I lived in Tulsa OK..

Would I go back to JCT..that is a HUGE hell yes with lights and sparklers. When I left due to injury..there were no repercussions..no nothing..they understood.

John Christner himself called and wished me well..now ithats class.

Granted..buying your own truck is always best..but leasing at JCT is a the best second choice in my opinion..they aren't out to screw drivers over with leases..they want to make money..and they know how to do that and because of it you will do well.

    Some little tricks:
.01 cpm to a health savings acct or blue cross blue shield insurance
back then it was .05 a mile for maint..bump to .10 a mile for a couple of months if you can..Its just a paper you fill out authorizing them to do it..same with changing back..if you can keep it at that level even better..at end of lease what you don't use you get back so you aren't losing it at all..
keep the truck off the governer..I had an 05 pete and was geting a 6.2 average out of it with an ACERT cat..13 speed..
The ess favors you turn down..the more loads come your way..

Now I hear they use E logging which means no more outlaw..but even so the way they have it set up you can easily complete the lease..i was just a greedy bastage LOL

exactly,,,you gotta work for that truck that they are leasing you, with nothing down, no credit check etc....there's a reason that a lotta driver's fail at L/P...they want chrome, wanna be the truckstop guy etc...you gotta make the committment and suck it up for the bad weeks,,,the times you get the $3500-5000 settlements make up for it x2,,,,just because you're L/P doesnt mean ya know yur business....

Been with JCT now for over 3yrs and this is the first time that I am going to miss my bonus due to low miles. I went on elogs the first of the year and to date I only have 28014 for the quarter. My average was 37000+ for previous quarters. Dispatch isn't working. Sad news I only took of 7 days this quarter.

That's not good, but its interesting some do great and others don't .So there is two facters in my mind, dispatch doesn't know what the hell they doing or the driver doesn't know how to manage time or both.Alan says its not bad and you are having a time of it,not taking anybodies side here just hope some other see this thread and tell us what they think with this transition.

It seems that alot of delivery dates are push out. I had a 1188 mile load with 4days on it. Tried to repower but was told no one was available. As far as time management goes I have done 2 34hr restarts in the past 7 days. No one to repower and planning is unable to reschedule an early delivery. Never had a single problem here over the past three years until now. For the first time ever I have had two negative paydays in a row.
