Wrong thread Joker?
-
I was wondering who that was directed at.
-
Ha ha ok thanks
-
Scooter, I don't need to be lectured by you, by the way what's your office ext. no. I asked a question about APUs, That's all I asked, And then you come back with I'm tired of talking about it. I didn't ask you personally, but every thread. theres Scooter Jones with his opinion. I ain't a computer geek that has the time to spend hrs on line, how you are on every thread is beyond me. I've written 2-3 threads in my life. My suggestion is, if you ever see my name on another thread, don't read it. I'm glad your happy here. But again, I don't know you or want to know you. Give other people your advice, of coarse why am I saying this, you'll give it whether they want it or not.

Quit training and see if you get the miles still. I didn't want to train anymore so I could have my personal space back. I had a 2150 mile/week average for 2011. Just ask Vicki about it.
I found May to be a good place to get my feet wet. I would have liked to stay there, but with their lack of a driver retention program, I had to go else where. -
What could they do different to keep drivers?
-
I haven'T trained since jan, miles did drop, its bs I know why u left but I'm just sticking it out til august so I have a solid two years with one company before I go local, alot of jobs for local open up out here when u have 2yrs

Since when? I remember quite a few posts to the contrary. That Swift wouldn't let drivers idle either.
Just for the record, I'm not calling you out, I'm just wondering when they changed the policy or if the other driver stories were BS in the first place. -
I've been called a lot worse than "out".

Once again, even the way you phrased your comment "That Swift wouldn't let their drivers idle either", is completely misleading and contrary to the whole reason I wrote the "May idle policy" thread. Let me try it like this:
MAY TRUCKING DOES ALLOW THEIR DRIVERS TO IDLE!
Just not for frivilous or wasteful reasons...
Staying cool in your sleeper when its hot outside is not frivilous...
Charging your batteries up because the low battery alarm goes off is not frivilous...
I haven't paid one nickel for idling in 2 yrs. I just keep tabs on my idling % and send in the overage request and it's taken care of. I've said this multiple times, others have said the same thing multiple times.
There, is that more understandable?
As to my statement regarding my friend that works at Swift and idling. I just got off the phone with him. He said that Swift has a "suggested" % they'd like to see their drivers stay at in particular regions. If you under that number for the month, you receive a bonus. I asked him if he has EVER been charged for going over that %, he told me NEVER ONCE in over a year since he started with them and that he often exceeds the suggested idling %.
So, there you go. I hope that helps.Voyager1968 Thanks this.
