God this company is a joke. 26 cents you gotta be kidding me, thats pathetic.

 

oh pardon me thats about ohhh .14cpm to low. McDonalds has great benies too and they only have to work 40 hrs a week....

I really can't believe anyone would work for that. For all the crap you have to put up with driving a truck that's not even worth leaving the house for. It's totally ridiculous. Sad thing is they will get people to do it.

 

When I read stuff like this it makes me so grateful for the job I have. $.26 is 1/3 of what I made per mile for this last year as a company driver.

 

They really find suckers who will work for that?? Thats a frigging joke and a half.

 

I wonder if the recruiter gets the extra 14 cents a mile for getting these suckers highered.

 

McElroy starts inexperienced flatbed drivers at 0.40 / mile after about 6 weeks of training, home every weekend. Tarp pay is included in the 0.40. A lot of their loads are pre-loaded and tarped.

I really don't see how swift can compete for quality flatbed drivers at the 0.26 / mile rate.
