    I really can't believe anyone would work for that. For all the crap you have to put up with driving a truck that's not even worth leaving the house for. It's totally ridiculous. Sad thing is they will get people to do it.:biggrin_25513:

    When I read stuff like this it makes me so grateful for the job I have. $.26 is 1/3 of what I made per mile for this last year as a company driver.

    McElroy starts inexperienced flatbed drivers at 0.40 / mile after about 6 weeks of training, home every weekend. Tarp pay is included in the 0.40. A lot of their loads are pre-loaded and tarped.

    I really don't see how swift can compete for quality flatbed drivers at the 0.26 / mile rate.
