I'd like to point out .25/mile is for newbies with no experaince, still better than drawing unemployment and after a year or so you can get on with a better paying gig.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I'd like to point out that Unemployment pays more then that.....

Do you know if they hire out of the PNW?

I really dont wanna see a swift pulling a coil anywhere near me.
American-Trucker, dude6710 and NWMAXI Thank this. -
In my case, I disagree. Depends on the state you reside in and previous amount of earnings.
I was getting less than 300/week before taxes... I only have to run 1200 miles to make the same amount. I get that many miles on weeks I take home time...
.25/mile is crap... understood... Do you think someone like myself, with little to no experience, ought to get paid .30, .35, 40, .45/mile? -
well im assumeing your pulling a van/reefer so anything less then .30cpm is a slap in the face as far as im concerned (even thats too low but given other rates that would be decent starting pay for a new driver) unless your doing something like LTL with stop pay

This smack talks kills me...
.26 cents a mile is a joke...NO ONE is going to argue that, but you need to start somewhere, usually .26 is for the first 3-6 months...
Secondly who said anything about Swift paying newbies in their Flat division .26 CPM
my understanding you have to be driving at Swift for 6 months before you can switch to flat .... -
For most it is a slap in the face. Logic tells me if rookies would stop making rookie mistakes, insurance premiums would be cheaper for inexperience and that savings gets passed onto the driver.

Might as well goto roehl and pull flats for 34+ a mile or even tmc. Honestly when i was OTR i didnt see many swift flats.
