I am stumped here. Could use some advice from the Trucker population.
Please and thanks for your opinions. I am in the midst of putting a design on some tees that would reach the Truck Stops ...and here is my problem...since I am not a Trucker (but a lady who has zero knowledge of the Trucking industry)...am not sure what kind of t-shirt appeals to Truckers. So I am going to the experts to ask this question? Can anyone give me a hand with their opinions please.....in terms of colors of tees, make, or fabric...like 100% cotton, 50/50, Wicking fabrics...

I obviously see the Truckers all the time but have no clue what is most comfortable when they have to sit behind the wheel all day or hit the laundrymats.

I would appreciate any help from the Trucking community. Thank you ..TL

Most prefer a grimy color of their choice that looks like it hasnt been washed in a month. But I hang around a bunch of dirty flatbedders. :biggrin_2556:

I like abstracts of trucks, like a smoke belching dual stack chromed out Pete.

Thanks ...so what you are saying Mr. Just....dark grey's, charcoal colored or even black colored tees? Does it matter if it is 100% cotton which is more breathable than say a 50% cotton/50% polyester blend?

When Truckers sit in their trucks say in the winter months...do they take off their coats..?

And in the summer months...with the A/C in their trucks...I gather it is only a t-shirt..right?

Do they normally tuck in a tee or just leave it hanging outside their waistbands.....

I know this sounds so idiotic asking this...yet there are so many different style of tees on the market..we have the art...although just can't seem to narrow down the type of t-shirt and color of tee that would be appealing to your industry.

Would Truck people even buy tees at the many national truck stops....?

I do like your comment Mr. Allow me...that is a very interesting graphic.

Thanks for taking the time to respond... /LT

I would recommend dark colors that will hide grease / dirt, and a material that will not stick to and show sweaty pits and chest during the summer. Preferably impregnated with deodorant, since most truckers haven't discovered its benefits yet.

I prefer solid colors with no designs at all those designs can get uncomfortable after a while.

Thanks Mr. Wind...LOL...Actually never thought about that part of it...sweat yes...although I did think the trucks were fully loaded for comfort...A/C, Tv's, Cushy beds, CB's, computers...etc..so I just assumed that inside the trucks...the sweat issue would not be a factor. Like I said...I only see the fancy rigs heading down the highways when Im on the road...and most of the Truckers I see in the roadside stops when I get gas...seem to just look tired..not really smelly or anything.

Like my Dad once told me....if your stuck on the road somewhere...try to flag down one of the Truckers...they will always stop to help a lady in distress..or at least stay with you til someone will come to help you..like the tow man or the police.

And he was right. Got lost on a backwoods road...following the shoreline on Lake Ontario...and it was dark...and desolate. A transport truck came by...saw me lost and I would still be there today if he had not shown up. A very kind young driver...He even ate a meal with me afterwards til he was sure I was okay to drive again after being lost for hours. Nice Man.

Sounds like a wicking tee would be our best bet.
    Thank you so much. /TL

    So Mr. Warrior....

I see in your pic on your posting that you have a tank tee on...is that something that you can wear with trucking companies?

The design we have is just words.....and it is unique...and we are in the formative stages. It is something that when you look at it...well...it doesn't hit you square in the face but you have to take a second look and then "you get it" and then it makes you laugh because it is so "right on".

It is something that is for a select market. Some said the Truckers will love it...but we were not sure at all ...what the Truckers like to wear with regard to fabrics..and textures of clothes. I know sitting in a van all day in a tee..especially if it is restrictive or too heavy in the summer can get bothersome. Sitting in a huge truck...I can only imagine...so that is why we are asking all you that do this every day / all day..for weeks, months, years on end. Go to the EXPERTS!
