    Hi Everyone :biggrin_255:
Im currently living in Alaska. Been here 14yrs. Was single mom of 2, but they are grown and gone now. Been driving truck off n on 22yrs, but not much long haul. I did a bit in 97-98 CA-NY hauln cars & bed bugging. But been local here and up on the North Slope ever since. I have drove the "Haul" rd. and enjoyed it allot. Few loads to Valdez over the yrs and of course to Anchorage area.
Been a while since I signed up on here but plan on visiting much more. This site is full of information I can use for my move.
I'll be trying to locate companies or O/O in lower 48 for work by end of summer. Winters up here are just getting to me. That includes chaining up in the harsh temps of minus 50 below! I plan to enjoy life more with grass between my toes rather than 8 months of ice and snow.
Looking forward to all the advise from seasoned drivers, company experiences, and getting to know few of you.
Thanks and keep the greasy side down :biggrin_255:

    FloTheWaitress Thanks this.

You are welcome. If I go up there though, I want to be flying something like a Cessna 210 and cover more area. My sons went up there to moose hunt one year, but I have never made it yet.

Those fly in hunting trips are awesome I hear. But we go moose/caribou hunting within driving distance. I got my 1st caribou last Sept. and got paid for it in away. We reserfaced some Hwy in remote area, camped there all summer, perdium & $53 per hr @10hrs day 7 days week! nothing better than getn good pay then after work walking thru the woods, huntn and fishn within 20minutes :)

Good fishing and hunting for the Lower 48 here in Da UP of Michigan also. but not as good as up there. I would love to fly myself to some of the more remote places up there.

Hi Flo! I kinda Lurk on your thread, but I am kinda quiet though. One of those guys who sets in a corner booth, drinks his Tea and eats his food while he listens to everyone else gossip. :)
