I really want to drive truck, although I don't have much experience. I am actually going to go speak with the SAGE school tomorrow. I just read a post about the disappointment with OTR wages. Admittedly though I don't even want to do OTR for more than 5 years. So if I drive OTR a few years, would it then be too difficult for me to move to something where I was home a bit more often? Basically, what would my options be and maybe more important do they pay decent?

The jobs you are thinking about require 1-2 years of experinece before they'll consider you. Also consider that if its a union job you will be starting at the bottom again.

If i can just throw it out there, how close to Spokane, Wa are you? Because I went to a school that is less expensive and has a 30% higher pass rate than Sage

It's Driver Training Solutions in Cheney, Wa. That's just outside Spokane. It's only $3800, SAGE tried to get me at $4500. I LOVED my time at DTS.
