My carrier is voiding all operating agreements to all contractors and creating a new agreement that must be signed by april 1st that indicates the new Fuel Surcharge agreement will be paid at 97%.

Since i just finished my taxes two nights ago, I know how much I recieved in FSC.

    $81907.24

So, if I ran this year like last, under the new agreement, I'd be getting
    $2457 LESS......:biggrin_25513:

    ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    wtf

If you pay the fuel then you should be getting 100%. Anyone that's stupid enough to drive for a company that doesn't give you 100% gets what you deserve.

Perhaps it is time to look for another carrier. I would not want to lease to a carrier who did not pass 100% of the fsc to me if I am buying the fuel. What carrier are you lease to?

I came here to train my 25 year old co driver whom I met hiking the AT in 2010. She did real good, was a fun 18 months, but she finally has had enough otr. I paid her real well, she paid off all her student debt, and has a nice chunk of change in her pocket.
Now that she's gone(as of saturday, last) I'm free to move.

I'd been considering STI, a new division of CRST. I'll have to find out if there also changing there policy on FSC.

I would be interested in knowing why they would be taking 3% of the fsc? I would not be surprised if they had a mass exodus due to this change in policy.

If they are "voiding all agreements" they you are able to go elsewhere I hope. Or tell them what you demand in the next agreement that benefits you, by much more than the 3% they want to steal from you.

NAVL did the same thing a few years back. Albiet a bit trickier then just taking a portion of the FSC. They said the FSC was too much, So they reworked the formula so the FSC would be lower. But to compensate us drivers they would raise the line hual a few percent. Granted they get 16 percent of the linehual, so in essence they gave themselfs a raise, and us a pay cut.

So now since NAVL became Specialized which CRST bought, they are passing along the bad ideas to more drivers?
