one other thing. $150/month may be okay if it's really convenient and secure, but most truckstops would let you park there for free if you sign a waiver. You might get your chains/binders and straps ripped off from time to time though.

I forgot to mention, the guy I just got off the phone with for the mud company said why dont I just park at Wal-mart lol
-
One thing you will need to keep in your truck and just to CYA..is an inspection book...it does not matter if your run 1 mile or a Million..you have to have it logged in the inspection book your truck and trailer are legal to run on the highway..If you dont keep that log and God Forbid something happens and it turns ugly cause you didnt do an inspection you could be out of business and in big trouble in a heart beat..
-
What all will I have in my inspection book?
-
some wal-mart's are freindly to trucks if you park in the back of the lot out of the way. Others are NOT, they can have you towed. What about parking at the mud company ? OR, if you would by chance happen to hire someone else to haul for you
, perhaps this fella would be staying at a hotel or something where you could park.

Ya that would be the sticks, run out there to get my truck and its not there

The mud company had a yard in the past, and gave up trying to run the books both for the mud and the trucking company and let the trucking company go back to the mud supplier/miner. So as of right now, no yard. But they have even made mention of getting one if this all works out and we can start up again, but I will do the books.
Danny, you will be the first one of the first ones I contact once I get this off the ground.

Humble....everything you do on a pre trip will be in there...just go around your truck and check everything then check it off in your book.. if you need repairs you mark it down then make sure a mechanic signs off on your book as well.....and remember to stay within that 100 mile radius if you go out of it and get stopped your gonna get hit with a no log book ticket and shut down...always CYA no matter what...carry 1 log book in your truck just incase you do travel outta that radius...better safe than sorry..

RoadWarrior,
I cant thank you enough.

Your welcome Humble...Anything else were all here to help ya out...Youll do fine..

If you dont keep a log book, you are required to heep track of your hours on a timecard at your home office....as suggested it would be wise to just use a log book because of the daily inspection records that are required
