On Monday that had moved a barrier so you could pull straight in. But with too many trailers waiting it might still get blocked.

Today was one of THOSE days!
Dropped my load at GP in Green Bay and then have to find an MT for my pick up 3 miles away. On the way to get the MT my FM says that its a preload so I turn around and head to shipper. When I arrive, surprise, they have no trailer to preload. After I get the trailer, I'm still back to shipper an hour before my appointment time at 0830. I'm finally loaded at 1130. Pull out but the trailer doesn't feel right. So I roll to the TS to scale. 2400# over on the trailer tandems so back to the shipper to get it legal. Finally out of there by 1300 and this load was due in Addison, IL at 1430...LOL!
Have a preplan to pick up in a two stop in University Park, IL that goes to Ohio and Michigan. By the time I arrive at shipper I'm running way late due to this morning's debacle. I have the load but I'll be three hours late for the first appointment...Joy!
Oh and my new windshield leaks but only a couple of drips now so I'm just gonna leave it alone. -
I saw the "hole" in the barrier, but they had a tire truck blocking the other side so there was no way through. So, yes, there is a way through, if there aren't trucks backed out onto the street waiting to get to the fuel island. I understand they want to maintain the trailers and the only reason that they have to do it this way is because too many driver were saying "screw it" and by passing the inspection.

When I left the Gary terminal this morning I was behind a Roehl flatbed driver who was going 18 miles per hour past the Schneider terminal. I know the railroad tracks there are really bad, but after he crossed them, he still went 18 MPH all the way to 912. Then when he got on 912 he was going 32 MPH on the highway! I got around him as soon as I could. Going that slow is crazy unsafe! I wonder if he was so new he was driving scared? Wow!

I don't miss that one. If I remember right there is no place to park at that consignee. Not that you would want to anyway. There is usually room at the ol' Vince Lombardi though.
