New in Schneider

As a "Newbe" I appreciate your advice on the Per Diem program!!!

 

Would you mind further ellaboration on the how the per diem into retirement works?

 

just got off the phone w the recruiter. did my phone interview. sounds good to me. ill be runnin dedicated for general mills. i start their training in green bay on the 18th. ####, i cant wait to get in a truck!!

 

I work at the Coors Brewing Company as a driver. Schneider trailers are the worst of the lot. I can't believe Coors even allows them on the property. I wouldn't work for this company for fear of being hurt on the job by a falling trailer door

 

I'm guessing it is prohibited in the truck whether it is moving or not.

 

If I should go to work for schneider, I will take there per diem. why I will tell you.. I just put $20,000.00 in an IRA with ameriprise.. in the last month I have made over $600.00 ! That is my money, I control it, and no one can take it away from me. So will Social Security be there for you when you retire, maybe , maybe not.. But my IRA will be there for me.! No one can take it away from me, no one can control it but me.

So do the math.... you will give up something right now, but 10 years down the road , you will making far much more money per month then anyone. That is YOURS !!!! and YOURS to keep.!!!

Now think about 20 years.? 30 years.! YOUR money,YOUR decision. But just remember you cant touch it until you are 59 1/2 and you dont pay taxes on it until you draw it out. Which I would suggest to only live off the intrest and never touch the principal.. That is how the rich people do it.. live of the intrest never touch the principal.!!!!

 

I dont think that is correct information. The last I talked with them when your assigned to your trainer on the road they try to match smokers up with smokers.

 

Could you explain to me with a perdiem do you get that or per mile pay or is that in addition to?
We are trying to learn all we can before he signs up.
Our son travels in construction and he gets it in additon to his pay just wodering is is the same thing.
