Hey flight, no defense of your decision is neccessary. If JCT does not work out, you being in florida check out Heyl. They do not lease however.

I checked into JCT 2 years ago, when my first lease was up. They would not work for me due to living in WY. Lease is set up different and so is the maintenance account.

Everyone will have electronic logs in the near future.

What's up guys. Been out on the road with a trainer for 2 days and I love the driving. Been a good experience so far went from Dallas tx to edwardsville,iL with a Hershey load 42,600 pds fun load for the 1st load I got 664 miles. 2nd load from edwardsville,iL to fountain, co w 38,600 pds of Hershey with 884 miles.
    I'm passing up Wilson,Kansas now.

And I've seen a lot of Stevens trucks today on 70 Which I'm sure is a common thing

But really enjoying this time on the road.

HI all. Bad numbers indeed Flight. I'd run from those to nearly anywhere!
Lol, two nice heavy loads to start with Rooster. You will probably lock the brakes when you get your first light load! Keep having fun.
As for my wonderful produce load to Yuma and then Cali, well, they got it straightened out. The last drop wasn't in Cali, it was in Yuma, about one mile away. Someone put the company's headquarters address in as the final instead of the other Taylor Farms just up the street. Though both places were surprised a Stevens was delivering instead of picking up. Then I end up with a two p/u load heading to Fort Worth, and wouldn't you know, they both pickup in Yuma, and the second one right at the same lot as the second Taylor Farms. Bizarre.
And of course, it can't be good two day 1,100 mile run, oh no. It's a five day run to Target, and I really doubt they will take produce three days early. Ugh. So I'll have to beg and plead to get out from under it Monday. I'll be in Fort Worth tomorrow afternoon. and have to wait until Wednesday.

Well my last load with Steven's is proving to be an uneventful one...a juice run from Tropicana to Wal Mart in Terrell, not too heavy and 3 1/2 days to make the 1100 mile hike. I have been hanging out at the Shreveport Petro since yesterday afternoon, and won't leave until around 1130 today. I'll deliver this load at 245, and then it's off to the yard to play the game one last time.

If you are in Ft. Worth Tuesday evening let me know where you are staying and I will try to swing by and say hello. Im about 10 mins away from Target. I know the Loves and QT get crowded here. Might be better off staying in Weatherford. Pilot, Petro and Loves there.

+1 on Heyl TLH, many good reports on that company and one of the few with a yard in FL.

Woke up to a QC asking me to do a repower into Dallas. I cringed too. Meet in Midland tonight and it is due tomorrow at noon. Not ideal, but better than a two day sit. So I'm in Midland now, going to try to sleep so I can overnight this and deliver on time.

Yea, they tricked me on that one too.
Repower in Sweetwater. It was on the edge whether I could make the Dallas delivery on time.
My new load was suppose to be going to Haslett.
Turns out, two day layover in Laredo (where I now sit)
And the driver I repowered to? he sat in the lot and didn't leave until morning. Load was late anyway.

It's times like this I start listening to Max again...heaven help me!

Keep listening buddy. You'll do it in a weak moment...you know you will!

Got a chance to see the new KW680 today. Nice looking. Biggest change I see is the roof line. It looks a lot like the 700 now. Inside is dolled up a bit more and for whatever reason, the display had a rear window in the sleeper model.
Guess we'll start seeing those in the yard starting this summer.
    660's are history.

Only got a couple hours at MATS, then had to boogey. Load due in Toledo tomorrow morning.

Made it to the yard and got myself a pizza. Now, I just have to gather the motivation to start packing. Luckily, I only have a few things. The yard is packed. Empty trailers parked by the lounge; trucks parked everywhere...what a mess. It has definitely been an interesting run with Stevens. I can't say that I'm sad to go, but I will definitely miss certain things about this company.

    Oh well...time to start packing
